The new Peugeot 4008 is based on the Mitsubishi ASX borders, but from a different front end, both the third side window and the rear end, Peugeot has transformed the shape of the headlights and the lion lying near the top are reminiscent of the Peugeot 508

The SUV market is among the fastest growing segments. Especially compact SUVs are increasingly popular. Peugeot now wants to abhaben a piece of the pie and sends the new 4008 into the race.

Both the 4008 and its sister model, the Citroen C4 Aircross, are the result of a collaboration with Mitsubishi. The tradition has, already, the Peugeot 4007 is based on the Mitsubishi Outlander. 4008 is the basis for the ASX. Compared with this points to the Peugeot slightly larger dimensions: The length is 4.34 meters (plus four inches), the 4008 is also three inches wider and two inches lower than the ASX.
Design Differences
To differentiate within the Peugeot trio donated the 4008 a different front and rear. While hugging a front grille draws attention to itself, resplendent rear tail lights, which will officially remember cats claws. The interior surfaces are smooth and black paint to use. An optional panorama roof with integrated LED lights are available which are used to reading. Other extras include 18-inch alloy wheels, a rear view camera and a touchscreen navigation system. In Europe, the 4008 four-wheel drive is always on board. By rotary knob 2WD, 4WD and a LOCK mode is selected.
Everything on The Diesel-card
Motor end there will be the 4008 in Europe only with two diesel engines. The diesel engine make 150 hp and 112 respectively are coupled to a six-speed manual transmission. The world premiere of the Peugeot SUV will be held at the Geneva Salon in March 2012, the sale begins in the second Quarter of 2012.
