Premiere at the IAA 2011: the second generation Golf and Co. should einheizen Bigger and safer: New Hyundai i30.

Hyundai unveiled at the International Motor Show IAA in Frankfurt on 15 to 25 September 2011, the world premiere of the new i30. Yet the current predecessor of the compact model offers the Koreans since 2007. He has sold according to the manufacturer since then over 350,000 copies. The new i30 will convince more size and security.
Sporty Drawn
The second generation of the i30 is longer and wider than its predecessor. The luggage capacity is also bigger. Accurate data Hyundai said this, not yet. During design, the manufacturer decided to sleeker than the old model forms. Front is dominated by the rival Gulf typical hexagonal radiator grille and L-shaped LED daytime running lights.
More Safety and Comfort
The new Hyundai i30 will offer new equipment details. So it will be a knee airbag for the driver, an adaptive cornering lights, instruments with high resolution TFT-LCD displays and for example an electric parking brake. Optional features include a panoramic sunroof and a navigation system with seven-inch monitor and a rearview camera.
Two Diesel, Two Petrol
When the engine offer customers the choice of four engines: a 1.4-liter gasoline engine, a 1.6-liter gasoline direct-injection engine, a 1.4-liter turbo diesel and a 1.6-liter diesel engine. All engines are combined as standard with a six-speed gearbox. For each of the powerful engines of both types of fuel an optional six-speed automatic is available. The second edition starts as a five-door i30 hatchback version in spring 2012. Further body versions will follow.
