Rio and in three-door Picanto, Kia Facelift for the Soul: Series premieres at the IAA 2011.

The three-door Kia Rio is a world premiere at the IAA 2011 with 4.05 meters, the three-door model exactly as long as his brother with five doors, too, at the height of 1.46 meters will change nothing.

World Premiere: Rio three-door

For the first time ever, the three-door version of the new Kia Rio is shown. It differs in its dimensions, not the five-door counterpart. It remains at a length of 4.05 meters and a height of 1.46 meters. Even the engines are taken. There are four units, including the 1.1-liter diesel engine with an average consumption of only 3.2 liters per 100 kilometers. In spring 2012, designed mainly for Europe Rio three-door hits the market. It is expected to give about 20 to 25 percent of Rio to the buyer rear doors.



European premiere: Soul Facelift


For the 2012 model year Kia Soul has revised and displays the result at the IAA. The new elements of exterior design should emphasize the vehicle's width. A longer front the Soul grows slightly to 4.12 meters. The front air intake is wider and the foglamps are larger. At the rear the black used in the bumper now runs almost the entire width of the vehicle. Daytime running lights is standard equipment in the future, are optional LED daytime running lights and taillights available. There are also new 18-inch alloy wheels and door handles. In the newly designed exterior mirrors are integrated turn signals. Inside, there is a revised center console. When the engine is now next to the famous 1.6-liter diesel with 128 hp, a 140 hp ready strong gasoline direct injection engines. This mobilization of 166 Newton meters at 4,850 rpm. A six-speed manual transmission is standard, there is an optional six-speed automatic.


Coming soon: Three-door Picanto

Already in October 2011, the three-door version of the Picanto rolled out to dealers. It should be emphasized sporty with a modified front end. It remains at the motor end of the five-door model known units, two petrol engines with 69 and 85 hp. Kia expects the world will be a third of a three-door Picanto sold.
